September 2025 - The Sickly Child
This month is all about the plants! We visit Corlia in our story,
though you may no know her by this name.
Here in the northern hemisphere, the plants are just starting to go
to bed for the winter, everything is soaking in the last rays of gentle
autumn sun. Leaves and nuts begin to fall, making the soil rich and
ready for new life in spring. But in the Southern hemisphere nature is
waking up, plants are starting to rise from their long winter slumber,
and the scent of summer in the distance, can be caught on the
occasional balmy breeze.
Never the less we are all reliant on plants every day, for our food,
for our medicine, and for the air we breathe. So it’s nice to think of
the plants once in a while, and maybe even stop for a moment, to
marvel in their delicate beauty.
